Tanya D. Whitehead, PhD has an Interdisciplinary doctorate degree in the fields of Education and Psychology, and has earned certification as a Specialist in Developmental and Handicapping Conditions from the Institute for Child Development, School of Medicine, University of Kansas; and certification in Online College Teaching from the University of Missouri. Her background includes 9 years in clinical practice, 15 years in higher education teaching and interprofessional online education, and 21 years in research.  She is a 2009 Fulbright awardee (China).
